Ursula Huth breaks up the comparatively close boundaries of the so-called glass art as she is working with the same intensity and with similar success both in stained glass and in three-dimensional sculptural glass work.

One must add that right from the beginning her work was not only limited to working with glass but includes paintings and drawings. In the middle of the 1990's she made an attempt at working in the field of metal casting.

With Ursula Huth the museum has won one of the most outstanding artists working with glass. Many of the objects presented in this exhibition have been created at the furnace of the Gernheim Glassworks entailing working in cooperation with the Gernheim glass artists week after week. This speaks for their quality, that again and again colleagues use them for the realisation of sometimes extremely demanding pieces.

This exhibition was shown initially in Leonsberg, Germany, then in Gernheim Glassworks, Germany, and finally in the Finnish Glass Museum Riihimäki. With this once again cooperation and international exchange will be supported; which is not only for the benefit of the artists but also of the museums and their visitors.
